Yovy D, Panamanian with Afrolatin roots currently living in Los Angeles, California, Her hometown area code (305) Miami, FL where she went to college at FIU. Started as an intern in Univision and worked her way into middle management. Got laid off in 2013 after 15 years. Nevertheless, Like life says one door closes and a new bigger one opens! On that same year, she landed a new managerial opportunity to work with MundoFox/MundoMax. In a period of 5 years she was caught in the middle of the digital media evolution hurricane, she was laid off 3 times – right around her early forties. The final straw was in 2017 when she made it back from Bogota, Colombia from freelancing for RCN TV.
After that. She decided to take a small sabbatical period, to asses and seek for a new venues where she could explore, express, and share her career experiences with the next upcoming generation. Through her avoracious curiosity in learning new things that’s how she landed in doing podcasting, networking, empowering herself and accomplishing her purpose these days.
